Landor.com
Core team: Peter Knapp, Trevor Wade, Hannah Foltz. Digital partner: Area 17
Landor's MarCom team was tasked with redesigning Landor.com with 5 main goals: Reinforcing our agile positioning, changing the conversation about Landor, inspiring users, balancing global and local, and evolving to stay fresh while remaining true to our core. We partnered with Area 17 to build a site on a flexible CMS that is easily updated, responsive and optimized for mobile, and available in English, Chinese, and Japanese. The design is bold and engaging, and features Landor’s work in the real world.
Along with improved analytics and new business, Landor.com has won numerous awards, including Best in Show in the branding category at the W3 awards (along with two additional gold medals), Best Mobile Website in the professional services category at the Mobile Web Awards, Best of Class in three categories at the IMAs, and an American Web Design Award from GDUSA.
BEFORE
I was also part of the team for the 2011 Landor.com redesign, and was the main admin for that site in the subsequent years. It too received numerous awards, and was ahead of its time in terms of design and functionality.
AFTER
A major feature of the new site is its multilingual capacity. In addition to working on the main site daily, I also trained our Chinese and Japanese admins on WordPress and acted as a point of contact for any site issues.
Landor.com is flexible and always improving. While participating in the initial design process, I also curated imagery and designed content—which continued to be a daily job post-launch. I regularly added and updated content (both timely and evergreen), as well as worked with teams around the world to make sure that the site met their new business and recruitment needs.
